What is shockwave therapy?
Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that stimulates the body’s natural healing process. It can relieve pain and promote healing of injured tendons, ligaments, and other soft tissues. It accomplishes this by releasing growth factors in the injured tissue. Shockwave therapy is sometimes referred to as EPAT, or extracorporeal pulse activation technology.

Dr. DePollar
Dr. DePollar earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic and Master’s in Sports Health Science from Life University, where he served as the Graduate Assistant Sports Chiropractor, treating all athletic teams and collaborating with athletic trainers. He also worked with athletes at Kennesaw State University, gaining hands-on experience in injury management and rehab. As a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP®) and Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP), he specializes in diagnosing and treating sports injuries and extremity conditions such as golfer’s elbow, jumper’s knee, frozen shoulder, and plantar fasciitis. A former collegiate basketball player, Dr. DePollar understands the demands of athletic performance and recovery. He now helps patients overcome chronic pain and soft tissue injuries using advanced treatments like shockwave therapy—a non-invasive solution that promotes healing, reduces inflammation, and supports long-term recovery.
